Christmas in July

Here are my first cards for christmas. the gingerbread man is new stamps for me so i had to play with them.The snowmen navity scene I have had for awhile

but i had used it once and decided to use it again. the ribbon is from dollar general. Yep, you can get great ribbon from there if you look. I also used glitter,dazzling diamonds from stampin up. on the snowman scene.

Early Halloween Card

Ok, I know I am early here but I just got this new set of stamps from stampin up and i just had to play with them. I used embossing powder on the card with versamark. The orange for the pumpkin is from vivid. I also used the sizzix topnote die that stampin up sells which is the big one here but the small one is from QuicKutz.

Randy's First card

here is my husbands very first card that he made at dixie's open house today. i think he did a wonderful job at making the card. he sure did a great at stamping and using the markers.He had trouble tying the ribbon so dixie tied it for him ,but gave him a tip for him to use on tying ribbon next time that will be easier for him. which i do sometimes. you keep the ribbon on the bolt instead of cutting it and then tie it and then cut it after you got it tied. this might be easier for him. He said the card was so simple to make except for the ribbon. He liked doing but that. But he knew I had a reason for him going there. LOL.

Open House At Dixie's

Dixie had a open house today from 10 to 3 at her home and you could make a card and a new ink sample to take home with you. she was also having a drawing and if you brought someone with you new you got more tickets for the drawing. i took my husband with me. :) He even made a card with the help of Dixie. He has never made a card in his life. BUT he will give advice if you are stuck and need some help with colors if you show him some colors you are thinking of using. I have done that before. I will show you his card he made in the next post. we made these cards for our nieces. they will just love so much as they are nice and bright just like they are.everything here is from stampin up.

Fairies

This stamp is from Designs Ink'd. I put glitter on there wings which is from stampin up. the pattern paper is a scrap that was in my basket. I love this stamp and I have a few more to play with also.

Nicely Beautiful

I got this stamp from a girl from gingerwood. this stamp is from designs ink'd. the sentiment is from stampin up. the black ink is from ancient page. the colored pencils i used on here is kori-hor. it is the first time I used these as they are woodless colored pencils and i bought them on sale. the papers used are just scraps from my scrap box. i tore the orange cardstock for some texture.

Recycled Crafting

Here I did some recycle crafting by making a lamb from a tissue box,toilet paper tubes, and a pudding cup, macaroni. I scanned this in but it didn't scan to well but at least you can see the gist of it. I got this idea from the issue of Pack-o-Fun, the April 2008 issue of last year. This magazine is for kids but I got it because it has some neat ideas for everyone to do. Plus it gave me ideas to do with my nieces and nephews. Like to craft with kids then this is the magazine to get. i love it.

Bedtime

Here is another layout that i did tonight. this is my niece and nephew, Jadynn and Nigel. as you can see nigel is reading to his sister, then he tucks her in, and then gives a kiss goodnight. the pattern paper used here is a fabric paper. I just cut it on the lines. I also used dew drops in the journaling.

Grandparents day

My niece had grandparents day at school where she goes at and this is my mother in law, her grandma with her.I cut 2 of stampin ups red pattern paper for this and braided it or I should say weaved it through in the one corner. I also used dew drops in the title.

Wedding Time

This layout is the wedding invitation that my hubby and me received from our friend David. He was the missionary that baptized me into the church of jeusu christ of latter day saints. I used 3 different size circle punches and stacked them on top of each other. I offset a couple of them and the rest is in the middle. as you can from the picture. I also used the scallop edge punch from stampin up on the left side with 3 different papers. makes a nice edge for this layout.

Hot Chocolate

Here is a layout that i did of my husband drinking hot choc. I make the mix myself so I do not have to buy it in the packets. I make it to fit in a 5-quart ice cream tub. The hot choc. cup pictured I paper-pieced myself. I got the pattern from scrapthatsmile.The heart is a wooden heart.

Purple Flowers

Here is 2 different purple flowers that I did up.All stamps used are from stampin up,black ink is from ancient page. the scallop edge is a punch from stampin up,brads(square),white gel pen from stampin up. I used 3 markers on the one flower so i could get 2 different shades of purple. the markers is from TAC and are called Impress.I also used stampin up inks on the other card.

Chalk Flower and Heart

This card I did by embossing the stamp image with clear embossing powder and then i used chalk to go over it. the stamp image and sentiment is both from stampin up. I used scraps of pattern paper for the background and the card itself shines but it doesn't shine to well on here. Black ink is from ancient page.
